“Having had the excellent AUVA EQs underneath my Origin Live Sovereign turntable for the past year or so and therefore being aware of the improvements that Stack products can make, I was unsure how much further they could take the AUVA technology. I was entirely unprepared for the improvements that the AUVA PLATFORM under the OL Sovereign brought to the sound of music from my system.

Music sounded completely different and the overall presentation was hugely improved in so many ways. If any convincing needs to be done as to how important vibration and therefore lowering the noise floor is in facilitating truly faithful audio reproduction, the Auva Platform provides as much evidence as anyone would need. Overwhelmingly, there is a calmness and incredible flow to the music with the Auva Platform in place. The lower noise floor revealed so many subtle micro-dynamics that were before never this well defined or audible. Little vocal inflections, the odd breath, tiny tiny details previously unheard before that now become part of the whole picture, reverb tails that flood back into a cavernous soundstage, an utterly beautiful realism and holography that hitherto I have not experienced to this extent when listening to music with my system. And all SO SMOOTH and more beautiful, even though there is absolutely no softening of transient attack. Everything just sound RIGHT. Even some of those annoying upper midrange harshnesses (some vocals, saxophones, horns) were completely tamed with the Auva Platform in place. An incredible feat. There are many other things – textures in the very low bass that were not as defined before, enhancement of separation and imaging, and a giant leap in terms of transparency and realism. Just stunning.

The Auva Platform is, in itself, a component and its efficacy totally justifies its price; it allows my turntable, tonearm and cartridge to perform far more optimally and to do exactly what they were intended for: to extract as much information from the groove as possible, unhindered by vibration and noise. You don’t realise how detrimental that stuff is, until it is removed; and when it is removed … what a treat you have in store. Whatever the individual improvements the Auva EQs did to my sound during the past year, and they most certainly did, the Auva Platform takes this to an entirely new and different level in terms of improvement. If anyone is pondering whether or not to take the leap from the AUVA EQ and you have the funds to invest in the AUVA PLATFORM, and your system has a good degree of resolution, I can unequivocally, wholeheartedly recommend the AUVA PLATFORM. A stunning positive transformation. The rest of your system deserves it.”
