Introduction to the Serene Stabiliser

HOW IT WORKS
The SERENE Stabiliser re-engineers the AUVA technology for the micro vibrations on turntables. It does this by employing lightweight rubber particles to manage vibrations. As the stabiliser's weight steadies the membrane, particles absorb vibrational energy by colliding and converting it into heat through friction. This method ensures effective damping, even for micro-vibrations. Think of it like throwing a ball into sand: instead of the energy rebounding, the sand absorbs and dissipates it. Similarly, the rubber particles dissipate vibrational energy, creating a quieter, more stable environment for the stylus to track the groove with precision, enhancing audio clarity and detail.
Weight is not always the answer
While many clamps and weights are effective at flattening records, their impact on sound quality can vary widely. Often, they enhance bass frequencies but at the expense of clarity in the upper mid-range. This added rigidity can prevent the record from naturally dispersing vibrations, sometimes leading to a slower, less lively sound.
Balancing Clarity and Dynamics with TAPA
The SERENE Stabiliser utilizes our patent pending Tension-Activated Particle Absorption (TAPA) system. Engineered to absorb micro-vibrations rather than simply flattening the record. Its lightweight, flexible design manages vibrations dynamically, maintaining the music’s natural dynamics. This approach ensures clear, balanced sound without the tonal alterations often caused by heavier clamps or weights.

Frequently asked questions
What spindle length does the Serene Stabiliser accomodate?
The Spindle insert of the Stabiliser is 14mm, this covers a broad range of TTs.
My turntable manufacturer does not recommend using record weights, can I use the Stabiliser?
The Serene Stabiliser does not rely on weight to be effective, it weighs in at 95g and utilizes a dual action patent pending tech to enhance performance. This design aligns with manufacturers guidelines on minimizing additional weight on the motor & bearings.
Is this compatible with suspended turntables?
Yes, the vast majority of our testing was conducted on our office LP12, as mentioned above, the lightweight build will not negatively interfere with suspended TTs.
Does the Serene Stabiliser have a settling in time?
The Stabiliser is very much a ‘place and play’ item. The silicone element of the Stabiliser acts as a ‘trampoline’ for the particles within. No settling in is required.
Will the Stabiliser work with my vertical TT?
As the Stabiliser is not a threaded item, we do not recommend use with a vertical TT.
Is the Stabiliser covered by your money back guarantee?
Yes, the SERENE Stabiliser is covered by our new, enhanced 60-day money back guarantee. If you are not impressed with the enhancement provided, we cover any return shipping costs.
Will there be a model that accmodates for longer spindes?
At this point in time, there are no plans for this. We may review this in the future.
Does the Stabiliser flatten records?
The Serene Stabiliser will not flatten records as much as ‘weighted’ pucks. If your sole intent is to flatten records, this is not the product for you.
