Why did you choose SERENE components?

I’d used SA components before (Corian sub-chassis) and had followed how the company’s products had developed and seen consistently good feedback. I needed a solution for my deck and was confident that SERENE would fit the bill (it did)

Why did you decide to do the install yourself?

I’m an engineer by trade and have rebuilt many decks, engines and even data centres.

Overall, how easy did you find the installation?

Wasn’t a problem.

Approximately how long did the install take?

About 30 minutes.

Did you change any other components at the same time? (e.g.: bearing, arm, cartridge etc)

Not this time.

Are you happy with the result?

Yes, works perfectly.

What was the trickiest bit?

Connecting the Earth as the deck wasn’t in a jig.

Would you service/install it again yourself or take it to a dealer?

I wouldn’t outsource something I could do myself.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting out installing the parts for the first time?

Don’t be intimidated by the hype, they’re not complicated.
