Frequently asked questions
Should I use 3 or 4 AUVA EQs?
We recommend using the same amount of AUVA EQs that there are stock feet on the piece of HI-Fi you are targetting.
Where should I position the EQs?
If the stock feet on your item of Hi-Fi are easy to remove, we recommend placing the AUVA EQs directly where the existing feet were, this ensure that the manufacturers intended weight distribution is adhered to. If this is not an easy task, positioning them as close to the existing feet as possible is the next best step.
My piece of equipment is near the weight limit of the CSA 1, should I choose the CSA 2s instead?
All CSAs are optimized for their specific weight category, if you have a piece of equipment that is 15.8kg for example and are planning to use 4 feet, we would recommend using the CSA 1s.
Which way up should the AUVA EQ go?
The shell of the AUVA EQ should be making direct contact with your Hi-Fi, this allows for optimal coupling. The CSA (Custom Silicone Absorber) should sit on your shelf/rack, thus decoupling the piece of equipment from it.
I miscalculated the weight of my CSA inserts when I ordered, what shall I do?
If you have made a mistake during the order process, don’t worry! The CSA inserts are easily interchangeable and we are happy to swap the inserts over.
My Hi-Fi is very light and is producing micromovements on the EQ shell, how do I solve this?
We provide thin rubber disks with all EQ sets. If you are using Hi-Fi weighing <4kg, please use these disks between the shell of the EQ and the bottom of your piece of HI-Fi.
How do I calculate which CSA is needed for my piece of Hi-Fi?
Please refer to the specifications box above. Each CSA unit are optimized for different weights. Divide the weight of the targetted piece of HI-Fi by the number of Isolators that you are planning to use. (16kg/4 = 4kg) – CSA 1 optimized between 0-4KG > 4x CSA 1 required.
