Purpose built for subwoofers
The AUVA SW is purpose-built to control the powerful, high-amplitude energy produced by subwoofers. It absorbs this vibration at the source to keep the entire system composed and precise.
A well-integrated subwoofer should add depth, scale, and impact without overwhelming the rest of the setup. Proper integration lets the sub handle the low-frequency workload so your main speakers can deliver more openness and detail. By removing the structural vibration that disrupts this balance, the AUVA SW keeps bass tight and controlled so the sub blends naturally with your system, preserving clarity, realism, and the spatial cues that define a stable and natural soundstage.

THREE-STAGE HYBRID ISOLATION
Energy-absorbing AUVA pods sit at the top of each isolator. Inside, a tuned particle mass absorbs and disperses vibration, converting it into heat.
Engineered Through Modelling, Refined by Listening
The AUVA SW was partly developed using Finite Element Analysis to model its behaviour under subwoofer-level energy. Twenty-nine design iterations were refined to optimise isolation and energy dissipation, ensuring the engineering delivers tighter low-frequency control. The structure was defined by modelling, with the final refinements made through listening. This process ensures not only cleaner bass, but a more stable, spacious, and natural soundstage.

Specifications
The AUVA SW is tuned to match the weight of your subwoofer. A compliant isolator needs to be as soft as possible to deliver effective vibration control, while still being strong enough to support the load. To achieve this balance, the AUVA SW is available in six weight-matched versions. Each class is designed to operate at its optimal compliance point, ensuring consistent and reliable isolation for subs of any size.
Physical Specifications

Installation
AUVA isolators come with a choice of nine thread adaptors for the most common sizes: ¼”-20, ⅜”-16, ½”-13, M6-1.0, M8-1.25,M10-1.25, M10-1.5, M12-1.25 or M12-1.75. Simply select the adaptor that fits your speakers, included with your purchase. If you require a different thread size, alternative options are available upon request at no additional cost.

Frequently asked questions
Why does Stack Audio emphasise keeping speakers rigid when the AUVA SW uses compliance?
The physics are different. Speakers benefit from being held rigid while their cabinet vibration is absorbed—this preserves driver alignment and imaging. Subwoofers generate mostly omnidirectional, long-wavelength energy that loves to travel through floors. The AUVA SW uses tuned compliance (matched by weight class) to decouple and dissipate that structure-borne energy, tightening bass without needing rigid coupling.
Will Isolating my subwoofer make the bass feel less powerful?
No. Isolating a subwoofer doesn’t remove the physical feel of bass; it removes the unwanted floor shake that exaggerates it. Some people enjoy that shake, but it comes from the sub vibrating the structure, not from the actual low-frequency energy in the room.
When the sub is properly decoupled, you still get the same visceral pressure and weight from the bass. What changes is that the rumble becomes tighter, faster and more controlled, giving you impact that feels deliberate rather than boomy.
I have a downward-facing port. Will the isolators affect this?
The AUVA SW gives you plenty of clearance and flexible height options, so you can easily match or slightly raise the distance your port currently sits from the floor.
Height options
• Using the adapter plate (no threads)
– The adapter plate is 3.4 mm thick
– Offers up to 3 mm of height adjustment
– Total height: 39.8 to 42.8 mm
• Using the threaded aperture directly
– Aperture thickness 3.6 mm
– Up to 3 mm of adjustment
– Total height: 40.0 to 43.0 mm
• Adding one thumb nut
– Total height: 44.0 to 51.0 mm
• Adding two thumb nuts (if needed)
– Total height: 48.0 to 59.0 mm
In simple terms, you can keep the port height very close to your original setup or raise it slightly if needed. Downward-firing subs are generally very tolerant within these ranges.
Do I need threaded inserts on my subwoofer to use the AUVA SW?
No. The AUVA SW can be threaded directly into your subwoofer if it has compatible mounting points, or placed underneath using our adapter plates. Both options offer height adjustment, and the plates add a silicone contact layer for stable support.
Should I use spikes?
During our listening tests, we felt that the Sub Isolators performed optimally without spikes, even when used on carpets.
Spikes are offered to protect your carpet.
What surfaces do the AUVA SW's work on?
The AUVA SW’s are compatible with all types of flooring.
How do I choose the right CSA-SW insert for my subwoofer's weight?
We offer six CSA-SW insert options, each tuned for a specific weight range. You can refer to our weight guide or contact us with your subwoofer model and weight – we’ll recommend the best fit.
Will the AUVA SW fundamentally change the sound of my subwoofer?
They won’t change the voicing of your sub, but will tighten and clarify the low end by removing boom, resonance, and unwanted floor interaction. You’ll hear more of what your sub is actually producing – without room-induced distortion.
How do I work out what threads I require?
You should be able to find the thread requirements for your Sub in your official user manual. If you cannot, please reach out to info@stackaudio.co.uk and we will find the thread requirement.
