Stack Audio was established in 2013 by Theo Stack. Stack Audio is based in Bovey Tracey in the UK.
Stack Audio believes that music listening pleasure is dependant on the purity of source signal. DACs, phono stages, amplifiers, speakers and headphones all sound better fed with a clean signal. Minimising physical vibrations and both digital and mains supply noise is how we achieve our goal.
A key partner for Stack Audio is John Westlake, a name familiar in the audio industry. The chances are you have listened to a hi fi system that has had Johns’ input.
In 1991 John designed the first discrete Array DAC, called the Da Capo. It was very well received and a game-changing design. Since then, John has worked extensively for many brands including assisting on the design of the ESS DAC chips. For the last decade John has been researching and honing his skills in how phase “timing” influences sound. The results have been implemented in the LINK and future digital products to come out soon..
